  1. What is Kompany?

    • Kompany is a unique platform that connects individuals seeking quality IRL (In Real Life) interactions. Users can pay to spend time with others or earn by providing companionship, with the focus solely on sharing experiences and interests.

  2. Is Kompany a dating app?

    • Absolutely not. Kompany is meant to help individuals that have a hard time making social connections or people that are new to an area and don't have a lot of contacts. We facilitate in person interactions by removing the social barrier of having to meet people.

  3. How does Kompany work?

    • Consumers browse through profiles and book Providers based on shared interests and activities. After the meeting, Providers receive payment, minus a 15% "trust & support fee" that goes to Kompany for using the app and marketplace.

  4. Who can use Kompany?

    • Anyone over 18 with interested in either finding Kompany for various activities or earning by providing their time and Kompany. Our platform is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all adults without criminal backgrounds.

Account and Profile

  1. How do I sign up?

    • Sign up through our app by providing your details and going through a verification process to ensure the safety and trustworthiness of our community.

  2. How can I create a successful profile?

    • Highlight your hobbies, interests, and the types of activities you're open to. Remember, the goal is to connect over shared interests, so be honest and detailed.

Safety and Security

  1. How does Kompany ensure safety?

    • We implement strict identity verification and a secure payment process. Our platform is built on trust, with measures in place to handle any disputes or safety concerns.

  2. What if I have a problem during a meet-up?

    • We encourage immediate reporting through the app. Our team is committed to resolving any issues, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all users.

    • We also encourage all users to sign up for Noonlight as an extra layer of personal security.

Payments and Fees

  1. Is there a fee to use Kompany?

    • Consumers do not pay a platform fee. Providers pay a 15% "trust & support fee" for each booking, which supports the operational and safety features of the app.

  2. How and when do Providers get paid?

    • Payments are processed through the app after each successful meet-up and transferred to the Provider's bank account.

  3. How does Kompany act as an escrow to provide a security layer?

    • Upon booking, Kompany takes the payment and holds it until the meeting is complete and all parties have completed the consensus protocol.

  4. What is the consensus protocol and how does it work?

    • When you arrive at your meeting, you will use the application to scan a unique QR code to start the timer. When the meeting is complete, you'll use your phones and the app to scan the QR code to complete the meeting acting as a signature to release payment to the provider.

Using the Platform

  1. Can I choose who to meet with?

    • Yes, both parties have complete control over who they meet, based on mutual interests and preferences.

  2. What kinds of activities can we plan?

    • Legal activities only! Anything from attending events, having coffee, to exploring new hobbies. The emphasis is on spending quality time together. This does not include romantic or physical contact.

  3. Who covers additional expenses during activities?

    • If the activity involves costs (e.g., event tickets, meals), the Consumer is responsible for covering these expenses in real time during the meet-up.
